i have already disclosed my infatuation with maps and the vast infinity of this world, but thought i should clarify just how deep this love runs. i have been lucky enough to have parents and a family that have encouraged me to explore every inch of the earth in my short little life. this encouragement has taken me to various locations in the usofa, but also to other goodies of the globe [would a post about these adventures be terribly boring? tell the truth now.]. and every time i experience somewhere new, i become more enthralled with how much i don't know, how much i haven't seen. think about it for a second. mind boggling, eh? this world is humongous. and so, i have maps. and globes. a concrete version of the massive and wonderful and inspiring third rock from the sun. to remind me that my life, my worries, my decisions, my fears, my dreams are not so big after all. and yet, all of my little moments, all of our little moments add up to be a great big universe. and without it, we would merely be a bunch of gas [or rock or particles or something... science help, please!]. so may we appreciate the insignificance of the little stuff and the impact of the big stuff. and remember that our little piece of the rock completes a big, beautiful planet.
happy friday, my friends. be safe out there!
