guiding thoughts

photo found here.
"security is mostly a superstition. it does not exist in nature nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. to keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable." [helen keller]

in an effort to get off my tush and live this life with fervor, i am letting this quote speak to me. it also happens to remind me of my gram. she was always planted, rooted in her family and her job, yet had a sense of freedom to her soul. she was adventurous and strong and daring and hilarious and completely undefeatable. and so, this week, may we take those qualities and face the world with a sense of we-can-do-it-ness. okay? okay.
have a happy and safe week, my friends!
