adventures in sewing

during a bi-weekly trip to hobby lobby, i fell in love some heavy duty, graphic fabric. the patterns were just right and i knew i had to do something with it. so i bought a yard of each and looked at the stack for about a week. 

 and while simultaneously looking at these tired pillows i have had since undergraduate school, i knew just what i needed to do. 

 i got to sewing.

and ended up with these punchy graphics all over my delightful orange couch.  

a little peek at the neutral gray covering those mint green beauties on my chairs. 

i just happen to love how they turned out. i used my ever reliable envelope method and popped those old, dingy pillows right into their new cover. but, now i am dying to get the couch reupholstered. may need to start saving my pennies.
