sweet dreaming

when thinking about the bedroom, i knew i wanted it to be a comfortable haven that welcomed both day dreaming and breakfast in bed.
i am naturally drawn to a cold, more streamlined look, but with the walls being tan and the floors carpeted, i embraced the warmth of the room. what emerged was a ski lodge feel. it's a nice tribute to black and white without feeling too stark. i have some antlers and natural elements sprinkled throughout the room to pull it all together.
i made this headboard from some fab fabric, lightweight board and very thick foam. i was in such a hurry to get it done that i didn't take pictures of the project. it is one of my favorite pieces in the room.
i found this old sterilizing cabinet at the shed sale in september. i think it is such a fun and unexpected addition to the space.
the decor is not ideal, but it is comfortable. and at the end of the day, i am falling asleep in the great state of nebraska. and that will always feel like home.
