aren't you just thrilled to go to your mailbox these last three weeks of december? the anticipation of receiving a holiday card from the people you love is just... magical. i wish it was customary to send snail mail greetings more than annually. but, in a world of email and facebook, i'll take the once a year gesture.
unfortunately, i will not be sending christmas cards any time soon. i just don't feel... grown up enough. or have quite enough to share [er, what are these three hundred blog posts about then? oh. right.]. but if i did, one of these beauties would be gracing your postal address with love.
if i had a ring on my finger...
if i had a cute pup to dress up...
if i had a growing family...
if i was feeling mod and extra festive...
if i was feeling sentimental...
and if i was feeling old school...
now just imagine it with me for a second... a big, bright red envelope with christmas calligraphy in white. a precious little card wishing joy and peace this holiday season. and a long letter inside filled with funny one liners, ground breaking news, and hopes for health and happiness in the new year.
[ashley was nestled all snug in her bed. while visions of... a life with holiday cards and news and family and a house to decorate and a cute boy to take cheesy holiday pictures with
and all that is good in the world... danced in her head.]
le sigh. this will have to do: may your days be merry and bright this holiday season.
