before...

this is what she looked like the day we fell in love.
that saying beauty is in the eye of the beholder has a new meaning, yes?
we like to think of her as a diamond in the rough. a steal needing some shine. a humble home to start our life - with our blood, sweat, and tears writing this new chapter. a true labor of love.
we have already started to make major changes - complete exterior makeover, every room single surface painted, refinished floors, walls removed. we see potential. but mostly we see a sweet place to rest our heads and make important memories.
you ready?
you sure?

welcome to 109.
can you see the potential?
no? squint a little.
still no? go ahead and scoot into better light.
you're right. it's very hard to see. and appreciate. and visualize.
but we think it is there. hidden under green-blue-peach-purple-orange paint, unfinished floors, wood paneling, blue tile and maroon cabinets. we have already uncovered some of the treasures and can't wait to bring you along for the ride.
i am putting together a before and after post on the exterior [we should be getting new gutters within days!] as well as a master to do list so you know what we have planned. we're not experts or decorators or DIYers, but we are in love with this little sixty-two year old gem. we cannot wait to see what is in store for the ole 109.
won't you come in and stay awhile?
